All of the bakery is homemade and excellent! I have talked to the Baker and inquired about the ingredients used, and it is all with regular butter, eggs and other high quality ingredients, just like your mom or grandma would bake at home. no saturated fats or Garbage they put in store-bought bakery!! Large variety of donuts and pastries. Small bakeries like this are very hard to find nowadays, they are a thing of the past, so we are very lucky to have them!!
Great bakery!! Sending them heartfelt condolences on the recent fire, but know there is a huge fan base who are waiting to be there for you!

Picked up a dozen paczkis for fat Tuesdays! They were incredible, we ordered the night before and they were ready first thing Tuesday. Pictured is blueberry with whip cream and apple❤️

This has been apart of my childhood since 1990. The best bread, pastries and donuts I’ve ever had. I haven’t lived in Mchenry since 2008 but I make a point to always come home and buy out as much as I can when I come Home. I hope you all open after the fire 🙏 god bless
Absolutely Wonderful!!! They created a custom cake (made out of donuts) for my wedding and the quality blew us away. It was beautiful! Better than I had even anticipated, and somehow despite my poor descriptions they were able to design it exactly how I had imagined/hoped. On top of it all their prices were not only reasonable, but less than most other places I had looked into. Although I don't plan to ever be married again, if I or anyone else I know ever need a special cake (or donuts) I will always recommend Riverside Bake Shop! The BEST part of all is that I believe they also made the cake for my mother's wedding 30 years ago! How cool is that?!
They make exactly the sugar cookie I want when I have a taste for a sugar cookie, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth, with crisp icing, and vanilla flavor…just the best. The doughnuts are so fresh and flavorful. Nicest staff and the prices are excellent! You can walk in with a few dollars and leave with happy childhood memories.
I have gotten two cakes from here recently, my bridal shower and one for Christmas. All the staff members are so incredibly kind and helpful and the cakes are beyond delicious! Couldn’t recommend enough!!
